TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Scope of Application
These Terms & Conditions apply to all guided E-Gravel tours offered by Hidden Heidelberg, operated by Oliver Schmitt. By booking or participating in a tour, participants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Booking & Participation
Participation in a tour is only possible after a confirmed booking.
Tours are conducted in small groups and places are limited.
Participation is restricted to persons 18 years of age or older. Participants must be able to safely control a bicycle on gravel roads and forest paths, including uneven surfaces and descents.
Participants are required to follow the instructions of the guide at all times.
Hidden Heidelberg reserves the right to exclude participants from a tour if their behavior endangers themselves or others, including but not limited to riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such cases, no refund will be granted.
Participation is at the participant’s own responsibility.
3. Services Included
Unless otherwise stated, the following services are included in the tour price:
Guided E-Gravel ride in a small group
Use of a premium E-Gravel bike
Helmet
Guidance and supervision during the tour
Personal insurance (e.g. health, accident, or liability insurance) is not included and remains the responsibility of the participant. The inclusion of guided services does not constitute an assumption of liability for personal injury beyond the statutory provisions.
4. Prices & Payment
All prices are stated per person.
As a small business owner according to §19 UStG, no VAT is charged or shown.
Payment details and timing will be communicated during the booking process.
A booking is only binding once confirmed by Hidden Heidelberg.

6. Weather & Tour Conditions
Tours take place in most weather conditions.
In case of unsafe weather or trail conditions, Hidden Heidelberg will decide whether to proceed, modify, postpone, or cancel the tour.
The decision regarding weather-related cancellations or changes lies solely with Hidden Heidelberg and is made in the interest of participant safety.
Weather and trail conditions may affect surface grip, visibility, and rideability and are an inherent part of outdoor cycling tours.
7. Liability & Responsibility
Participation in the tours is at the participant’s own risk. Cycling on gravel and forest terrain involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, collisions, changing surface conditions, and weather-related hazards.
Hidden Heidelberg is not liable for damages caused by slight negligence.
Liability is limited to cases of intent or gross negligence, as well as injury to life, body, or health.
Hidden Heidelberg is not liable for loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings brought on the tour.
Statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.
8. Equipment & Damage
Participants are required to handle the provided equipment, including the E-Gravel bike, with care.
Participants are liable for damages caused by improper use, intentional misconduct, or gross negligence.
Normal wear and tear resulting from proper use is excluded.
Hidden Heidelberg reserves the right to charge participants for repair or replacement costs in case of damage beyond normal use.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The place of jurisdiction is Germany.
